Rose Cottage – Quintessential English Country Cottage in historic Baconsthorpe

Rose Cottage in the historic village of Baconsthorpe, is one of those cottages you dream about. It used to be the village shop years ago, run by a lady called Rose, hence the name.   It is newly, and sympathetically, renovated to an extremely high standard, and is shiny as a new pin!  Several original features, like pine latched doors and fireplaces, have been retained.  When you walk in you cannot fail to be impressed by the beautiful interior and the immaculate presentation.  This is a very special place indeed.

The kitchen is newly fitted, and very well equipped, with the usual appliances.  To one end is the dining table and chairs with some very funky lighting above, that makes for a great cosy atmosphere.

The sitting room is comfortable with a large sofa and a winged back chair.  The original fireplace is still working (to be confirmed) and is the focal point of the room.

Upstairs there are two beautiful bedrooms, the master bedroom being serene and elegant. The other a twin.  The bathroom has a bath with shower over.

The owners have really gone out of their way to make the most perfect holiday cottage imaginable, and you can bring along your dog too, who is made to feel extremely welcome with their own throws and dog treats!
