Spring Cottage is owned and very much loved by Diana and her family.  Diana is an interior designer and this really shows in the beautifully thought out and eclectic styling.  Soft Heritage colours and luxuriant fabrics used alongside beautifully sourced and placed original artworks and pottery give the cottage a peaceful and stylish look. This is a perfect romantic retreat. She has thought of everything you might need on your holiday and a whole lot more.  There are cosy woodburners, comfortable sofas, and beautiful objects and artworks to admire.  There are corners to curl up with a book in, or spaces to socialise around the dining table or fire and share a meal. It is a coastal holiday retreat where once you have opened the door you probably won’t want to leave.  Spring Cottage is a beautiful holiday cottage Cley.

You can see the salt marshes and big blue skies from the bedroom window

What can we say, a perfect break in a perfect cottage in a perfect village.  Enjoyed curling up in the evenings by the fire and listening to the geese flying overhead. Thank you!  Greg and Sophie  January 2017

Cley next the Sea is probably most famous for its RSPB Reserve, the building is worth a trip just to see the wonderful Sedum planted roof, and they do a great cheese scone whilst you can test out binoculars and search for that illusive bird.  The autumn migration of geese and other birds truly is a sight to behold, and from Spring Cottage you will have pole position.  Cley is a pretty and quaint fishing village with lots of traditional flint and cobbled cottages. It is well served with shops including The Cley Smoke House which does all manner of delicious smoked food, including salmon, an art gallery, book shop and Picnic Fayre, a Cley institution, for wonderful food and deli goodies.  Perfect for packing up and eating on the beach.  There are two pubs, both in walking distance of Spring Cottage.  The George and The Three Swallows. The iconic windmill does a delicious afternoon tea with views to die for.  The coast hopper bus runs through the village and is so handy for getting along the coast in either direction.  The views from the cottage give you an idea of the fabulous landscape you can walk over, to the wild shingled beach and the sea over the marshes, or down into Blakeney through Wiveton, now made famous in the hilarious TV series Normal for Norfolk.  Who can forget Desmond’s eyebrows……
